How Operator Mods Work in Warframe’s The Old Peace Update

Warframe’s The Old Peace update deepens the Operator progression system by introducing Operator Mods and Tauron Strikes. These systems allow players to improve their Operator’s combat effectiveness, Amp performance, and mobility, offering new layers of power and customization.

To begin using Operator Mods, players must first acquire a Tauron Strike. These are obtained by farming Ren Hypercore, Ascaris Prime, and Lyroic Bridge from bosses in The Perdita Rebellion activity. With enough materials gathered, players can visit Marie in the XX99 cathedral, which is reachable through the Sanctum Anatomica on Deimos, to purchase a Tauron Strike.

Tauron Strikes are Focus school–specific and require a substantial resource investment, with each one costing 150 of each material. A critical detail is that Operator Mods only function when the currently active Focus school has a Tauron Strike unlocked. Switching to a Focus school without one will disable the effects of equipped Operator Mods.

Once a Tauron Strike is unlocked, players can access the Operator Mod interface in two ways. The first is via the Arsenal by navigating through the main menu to the Focus School section. The second option is to access the Operator menu directly from the Orbiter or Backroom, where the Focus School option appears in the Equipment screen. From there, mods can be freely equipped to enhance Amp damage, Operator survivability, Void Sling abilities, or Tauron Strike performance.

Operator Mods, officially referred to as Tektolyst Artifacts, are earned either through gameplay or direct purchase. They drop during The Perdita Rebellion mode from recurring encounters and elite enemies, or they can be bought from Marie in XX99. Each Focus school features its own set of mods, encouraging players to experiment with different combinations to maximize their Operator’s strengths.
